Submissions

WHAT IS GOING ON?? Does no one knows what "submissions/press kit" means anymore?

When people ask me "how do I get a write up in the magazine?" Well the answer should be obvious right.. send me a submission. I'm very open to checking out new music and new artists. But when you come to me with a very cocky attitude (and yes, I know the difference between cocky and confident, I can also usually tell within the first 5 minutes of talking to you if you're worth talking to or not) and expect me to "show some love" just because... then you're crazy (if this makes me a "hater" then so be it).

Please understand that we do not; sell front covers (buy the back if you really want a cover- it's the front depending on how you hand out the mag), sell write-ups, give out pictures before that issue comes out (the photos are NOT free, these talented photographers need to eat too), we won't make you look bad in an article unless you did it to yourself, and we don't last minute interviews because you cornered us.

So back on the submission topic, go to WWW.STASHONLINE.COM and get all the info there, send the press kit, and voila :)

OH and just in case you don't know what a press kit is, it should consist of; your bio with a picture (please don't hand write the bio), CD or some sort of sample of your music (good presentation is always a plus), send it in an envelope, follow it up with a phone call or email so we can put the person to the package.

Ok, no more bitching from me. But one last thing, who is as excited as me for the next Stash issue??? 4th issue, did you read that? 4TH ISSUE!!!
